Lizzy,
There are so many things that I would like to tell you. Most of them you probably wouldn't understand at this point in time -- although I do know that you would believe them. We can see things that many other people dismiss or ignore.
I know it won't always be easy for you to do, but I want you to stay true to who you are and what you feel. Most people around you will make this exceedingly difficult at times, but don't let them force you to give up on anything -- especially you and your heart. Never give up on that. It's too important to your happiness in so many ways.
There is a young boy that you will meet or maybe you have just recently met him. Be good to him, Lizzy. Will is going to love you more than anyone in your life will ever love you. He will always be true to you and never forsake you -- even if the decisions are hard ones sometimes. Just, you might have to work in making him believe in himself and his worth, too. He loves you more than anything, Lizzy, and you love him, too.
Oh, and listen, Lizzy. Those rules of piracy and their ways and codes that you have studied and heard about? Don't expect too many pirates to adhere to them. They are more like guidelines.

023 - Do you believe in an Afterlife? What do you expect to find when you get there?
In all honesty, I really am not sure if I do believe in such a thing or not.
Considering everything I have seen and done in the last few years of my life, you would think that a concept of the Afterlife would be something that I could easily believe in. However, after losing Norrington because he was protecting me... and then losing Will...only to have him come back...and then be forced to serve as Captain of the Flying Dutchman...
How can I honestly believe in something like the Afterlife that people talk of in such glowing and flowery terms?
Death is something that I am all too familiar with, I am afraid. I have seen good and brave men die because they are sticking to their ideals and what they believe in.
I am just not sure I can believe in something like the Afterlife after the reality of death and imprisonment of souls as I have seen.

Losing Will because I am not quick enough to save him.
That's my biggest fear. The lives that Will and I now lead are not exactly the safest. We're marked as pirates. There are precious few safe harbours for us now, and we're not exactly the favorite people of Davy Jones, either.
Of course, Will also erroneously believes that I am in love with Jack Sparrow -- which I most certainly am not.
I would do anything in my power -- anything I have to -- to protect Will.
I'm just afraid it will not be enough.

My name is Elizabeth Swann-Turner and I'm a pirate lord...
Or so they say, anyway. To me, I'm still just Elizabeth.
I'm captain of the "Empress of the Sea" and I'm in love with a truly wonderful man.
Well, I guess all of that tells you my name and what I do, but not really who I am, does it? Then again, maybe that is who I am.
Who knows who any of us are in reality?
I'm the only child of the English governor of Port Royal in the Caribbean. I was supposedly one of society's darlings -- and I absolutely hated it. I'm not very good at being a proper lady and I really despise corsets. (You think you can handle pain or anything that comes your way? Then you wear the damn corset.) Even as a child, I dreamed of adventures on the seas and I wanted more that an arranged marriage to a man that I did not love.
Then, I got kidnapped by pirates and everything about my life changed.
Everything.
Barbossa and his men attacked Port Royal because the Aztec coin in my possession led them there. I tried to parlay with them, and they kidnapped me because of who they thought I was. I would tell that lie again if I felt I needed to protect one I love.
Will freed the pirate Jack Sparrow from jail and together they stole a ship and came after the pirates to rescue me.
Nothing was ever the same for any of us after that.
